Course Objectives: The purpose of this course is to provide participants with a clear understanding of the role and effectiveness of marketing so that they can utilise it appropriately on a day to day basis to help them to build their business even during recessionary times.
Having attended this course participants will:
- Understand the basic principles of marketing
- Understand often used marketing jargon
- Understand the Marketing Mix - 4Ps and 7Ps
- Understand marketing communications: advertising, PR, online, sales promotions etc.
- Know how to effectively differentiate their business from competitors
- Understand simple customer retention strategies
- Experience examples of successful marketing campaigns
- Know the key marketing tools required for their business
- Know how to market their business on a shoestring
- Develop a simple and effective marketing plan

This course will also provide participants with a marketing clinic where their specific queries/needs in relation to their business will be answered. Participants are therefore actively encouraged to bring samples of existing marketing material with them.
