Course Information
This workshop aims to give the SME owner / manager a clear understanding of:
- Ø key elements of financial management, and how he/ she can radically improve the business by harnessing financial tools, and
- Ø How to improve financial management with very limited resources.
- Ø Getting more from your external accountant
- Ø Planning forward - a survival tool and the best way to convince external funders
- Ø Keeping the cash flowing - avoiding risks and pitfalls and taking control of your cash
Most SMEs are not in a position to employ dedicated financial management resources, and many at best have a book keeper in house. It is all the more important to identity what needs to be done, and make better use of external resources to cover key risks and ensure that core tasks are well executed
The workshop will be highly interactive, and will be based around case studies drawn from real examples of SME firms from a range of sectors. The day will empower you to develop a rigorous financial plan which will help you run the business, and if required will also help bring in external finding from banks and investors.
