Objectives
On successful completion of this course, participants will :
- Be able to understand the meaning of strategic planning to carry out a situational analysis
- to participate in the formulation of a strategic vision, mission, goals, objectives and participate in crafting a strategy
- Be able to know how a strategy is implemented
- Be able to evaluate the performance of a particular strategy
- Be able to understand the role of leaders in inspiring and directing individuals and groups
- Be able to understand the role of managers in planning, organising, motivating and monitoring the allocation of resources
- Be able to recognise the different contribution of leaders and managers in the organisational setting
- Be able to appreciate the concept of management development as applying both to individual development and the development of management capability in an organisation
- Be able to understand the link between individual development and national performance
- Be able to explain the nature of the contribution management development can make to the economic performance of a nation
- Be able to critically evaluate the contribution to date of management
- development in SMEs in Ireland
- Be able to describe common business strategies such as the low cost provider, quality and innovation
- Be able to distinguish between the informal, integrated and formal models of management development

The Further Education and Training Awards Council (FETAC) is the national awarding body for further education and training in Ireland. Europa Academy is registered with FETAC to offer programmes leading to FETAC awards in the National Framework of Qualifications in Ireland.
Fees
4 day programme - Total training fee €995 per person. Fee excludes FETAC assesement / verification fee of €50 per person for course certification.
