The programme is designed for experience Managers with a minimum of 2 years work experience at managerial level and who wish to update their knowledge of management. Functional specialists who wish to broaden their knowledge of management.
Programme Format
The programme is based on 8 modules of teaching in the areas of Evolution of Management, Effective communications, HR planning, Business Finance, Business Planning, Organisational Behaviour, Strategic IT and Economics. The programme is taught over 8 month period 3 days per month and concludes with a project which integrates new insights from the programme.
The schedule is specifically designed to allow participants to combine work with study and complete their course within the 8 month period.

Psychometric Assessments
A key part of developing your ability as a dynamic manager is learning more about yourself and the way you see others. As part of the programme you will undertake a range of psychometric self-assessments covering management styles and emotional intelligence. They are not a measure of ability, but are provided as a mechanism to assist you understand more about yourself.
Module1 Introduction to Management
This module outlines the theories and principles of management. It is divided into sections covering the change of management through time, effective management, management function, performance management and time management.
Module2 Effective Communication
This modules main emphasis is on the skills necessary to communicate with people and rganisations coming from diverse backgrounds. The fundamentals of successful communication to get your message across effectively. This is essential in all business functions.
Module3 Human Resource Management
Human Resources are the most valuable asset of any organisation. The module focuses on the management, behaviour, motivation and the nature of work groups. An introduction to the administration of personnel records, recruitment and selection, employee relations and updates on current legislation.
Module 4 Financial Management
In today's environment it is essential that managers can understand financial figures. This module examines the area of accounting information for decision making, planning and control, cost management of the budget control process.
Module5 Business Marketing
One of the core activities of all organisations is marketing. An understanding of this subject is vital for any professional wanting to pursue a senior management position. The module will cover all significant aspects of marketing such as market evaluation, product range, pricing sales closures and niches.
Module 6 Business Economics
The need for managers to have the ability to read the economic environment is a bonus for every organisation. Included in this module is an overview of macroeconomics, supply and demand, price comparison and inflation.
Module7 Behavioural Studies
This module provides a framework for understanding the behaviour of people at work. Its fields of analysis include the individual, the group and the total organisation. The unit provides information on human factors that influence individual and organisational effectiveness such as differences in perception, personality, motivation, leadership styles and others.
Module8 Information Technology
Business technology is important for all organisations. This module highlights the IT benefits for a business by explaining a variety of computer applications, the use of hardware, software and peripherals together with the importance of data security for the whole company.
Awarding BODY
This course is FETAC approved at Level 6. Participants will receive the following award :-

Under section 43 of the Qualifications (Education and Training) Act 1999 Learner Protection arrangements have been put in place with two other FETAC Education providers.
