This qualification is for those people who are soon likely to become first line managers or are newly appointed to such posts but have had little or no formal training. Participants in this programme will be drawn from a wide range of work environments and the objective of the programme is to improve your performance in the organisation through a strong focus on your specific job role.
There are no formal entry requirements, but participants should be practising or potential first line managers with two years full-time (or three years part-time) work experience, and a background that will enable them to benefit from the programme.
The Introductory Certificate in First Line Management aims to provide participants with their first formal introduction to the role of the manager. The programme has two primary objectives:
Module 1 - The Context of Management
Module 2 - The Business of People Management
Module 3 - Managing Resources for Performance
