| Programme Objective: | To give the students the knowledge and skills required to recognise and maintain a safe working environment. To effectively manage an evacuation in the event of an emergency. To deal with an out-break of fire in its early stages and to liaise with the Fire Brigade. |

| Programme Aim: | The course will take the students through a range of fire related topics covering emergency and non-emergency activities and duties, which the fire marshal would be expected to perform. |

| Training Method: | Group Orientated to include lectures, formal talks and demonstrations. These are didactic in nature and place a strong emphasis on the trainer’s expertise and knowledge of the subject matter. |
| Participant Profile: | Carefully selected members of staff who have been chosen to form a fire marshal team. The team should consist of members of the work force drawn from all areas of the premises ensuring no area is left un-represented. |
| Trainer’s Name & brief profile: | Jeff KennedyJeff Kennedy has been a full-time professional fire fighter/Paramedic for the past 12 years. Over the past 5 years Jeff has been involved in teaching a variety of course’s within the private sector. He has a wide range of qualifications ranging from confined space’s training to marine emergency rescue and is considered a leading instructor in fire training. |
| Training Facilities: | AV equipment and flipchart. Comprehensive course handouts supplied. |
| Assessment Method: | Ongoing assessment throughout which is Instructor verified. Practical use of Fire extinguishers, multichoice written examination and post course evaluation form. |
