ATA is a new voluntary assessment programme proving the current competence of technicians working in the retail motor industry. Europa Academy is an ATA Approved Assessment Centre.
ATA is governed by the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) and has the backing of the major vehicle manufacturers and the major independent service and repair organisations. ATA registered technicians sign and are bound by a special Code of Conduct. They are issued with a photo identity card and their details are included on the ATA web site (www.automotivetechnician.org.uk).
